On the border of Touraine, a discreet village in Poitou has everything to seduce Aven'Curieux on the move. Judge for yourself...
Lésigny has a sandy beach, a leisure area with city stadium, several hiking trails, a launching ramp for fishermen and kayakers, a remarkable tree, a 19th century churche partly dedicated to the patron saint of shepherds, a grocery store selling local products, a traditional restaurant and even a live performance company with permanent residence!

I'll take you with me for a day of escape and relaxation in the heart of unspoiled nature.
10 a.m. The Vatulélé story walk
Poetic journey into green space

Exactly 20 years ago, Véronique and Jean-Michel from the company Glob'Trott are seduced by the old flour mill of the municipality. They decided to acquire it and transform it into a workshop in order to put on traveling, popular and humanist shows for young audiences.
Along with the industrial building, the former millers also sold them 4 hectares of meadow surrounded by the Luire.
The couple then had the idea of organizing on-site dramatized visits to nature. For this, they adopt donkeys, goats, sheep, geese, an old retired horse and recently four Koi carp.
I like : the bucolic and timeless setting, the passion of the two artists committed to culture in the countryside.

12:30 Lunch at L’Ère du Temps
Good homemade dishes

Friends for four decades, Christel and Christophe dreamed of opening a restaurant together. The project came to fruition 8 years ago thanks to this large, well-located premises, rented from the town hall.
Traditional cuisine is served on boards, always garnished with a green salad and a piece of cheese. The day we came, special mention for the starter buffet, the tartare fries and the chef's chocolate mousse.
I like : the friendly atmosphere, the terrace overlooking a square with a playground.

For picnic supporters
The L'Ère du Temps restaurant opened a delicatessen corner this year, mainly made up of local products (cheeses, yogurts, fruits, vegetables, spreads, etc.)
To be enjoyed, for example, in the garden of the old flour mill or on a picnic table next to the beach.

14 p.m. The beach at the end of the bridge
Relaxing on the sand and swimming in white water

Head to the leisure area on the banks of the Creuse, its games for children, its multi-sports ground and its small sandy beach.
This corner of nature nicknamed “The end of the bridge” has a taste of rediscovered freedom. The highlight of our breath of fresh air: natural swimming in the river.
Leisure area and beach open all year round
Supervised swimming from 1er July at 31 August

Word from a resident
When she meets the man of her life from Vicq-sur-Gartempe, Véronique Legangneux of the Glob'Trott company also says yes to Vienne. The Normandy-born actress was quickly charmed by Grand Châtellerault.
Its heart stroke in Lésigny where she lives? The beach!
I recommend this semi-wild place where you can swim in the Creuse, enjoy an ice cream, stroll in the shade of the trees... A little paradise!
Véronique Legangneux
