LA MANU ET LE SPORT 1945-2024
In 1945, the director of the Châtellerault arms factory, Colonel Brisorgueil, created a sports club specific to this military establishment and launched the construction of a stadium at Montée Rouge inaugurated in 1947. Since then, the arms factory de Châtellerault has established itself as the spearhead of the city's multiple sporting activities and the development of its sports facilities. From around a hundred members for 3 activities in 1945, the club became the CSAD-C (Sports and Artistic Club of La Défense – Châtellerault) currently has more than 1800 members for 13 different activities (from swimming to volleyball to name a few). by shooting…).
This exhibition proposed by Manu-Châtel, an association of former apprentices and workers from the Châtellerault arms factory, lets you discover the strong relationship between Manu and sport.
