Since 1810, the Lépine family has been making walnut oil: one of the oldest traditions which has perpetuated over time an artisanal flavor unlike any other. The kernels are crushed and ground under a millstone to obtain a thick paste. This then goes into a pan, where it cooks until it turns brown. A delicate phase because the art of obtaining a tasty oil depends on cooking. This molasses is then poured into the hydraulic press from which this wonderful golden-colored liquid flows. Walnut oil has very good dietary value thanks to its vitamin content and the quality of its fatty acids which help limit cholesterol.
