Angles-sur-l'Anglin

Situated on the banks of the Anglin, occupying a strategic site on the borders of Poitou, Berry and Touraine, this small town has retained its character

medieval. The history of Angles-sur-l'Anglin revolves around three monuments, the 15th century castle, the Sainte-Croix abbey church and the 000th century Saint-Pierre chapel. At the foot of the cliff, in a rock shelter, the discovery of a prehistoric site dating back 1982 years offers sculptures from the Magdalenian period. The town also owes its fame from the second half of the XNUMXth century to the Jours d'Angles, a drawn and counted thread embroidery. Since XNUMX, Angles-sur-l'Anglin has been labeled among the Most Beautiful Villages of France.
