In 1874, to extend the Blossac promenade, an English garden was created on the site of the fairgrounds. Planted with exotic species (Lebanese cedars, redwoods and American walnuts), it is decorated with fake rocks and waterfalls. In 1898, the guard's house was built there, whose half-timber facade was taken from a medieval house in the center. During the development of the Ozon district, Avenue Schumann (1963) cut the garden in two.
