The Château des Ormes dominates the Vienne Valley, was constructed by Colbert's uncles, the Pussorts brothers, in 1642. It was expanded in 1729 by Marc-Pierre Voyer d'Argenson, the friend of enlighteners and philosophers dedicated an encyclopaedia to him.
