Ensemble conventuel de Lencloître
Religious building
in Lencloître
-
This site, built by Robert Arbrissel and beautifully restored in stone and tuffeau limestone, comprises a former monks’ convent, a convent for the nuns, a 12th-century church and a 17th-century dovecote. It was associated with the Fontevraud abbey.
The former cloister gardens have been converted into a rose garden. The garden has 700 rose bushes, a sumptuous addition to the site.
