Regulations for beverage service, obtaining a license

Principle of use 

Operators of rooms and tables d'hôtes must hold a license to serve alcoholic beverages. Beverage licenses can be either “ small restaurant license ", be there " restaurant license » (see table below “license categories”). These “restaurant” licenses allow the sale of alcoholic beverages, only as accessories to meals. The law of July 22, 2009 on the development and modernization of tourist services removed the obligation to hold a 1st category license for the service of non-alcoholic drinks which is an accessory to an accommodation service. Under these conditions, renters of guest rooms, without table d'hôtes, no longer have to hold a license for drinks served as part of breakfasts as long as they are non-alcoholic drinks. .

Approach

Since June 1, 2011, the formality of declaration of opening, transfer or mutation of all drinking establishments, under the various licenses, must be carried out at the town hall of the headquarters of the establishment concerned, and no longer with the customs office.
